Is your biggest fear during vacation a dental emergency? If so, our dentist, Dr. Asha Kinra, and dental team don’t blame you. Dental emergencies can definitely put a damper on the sightseeing and other fun adventures.

Fortunately, there are things you can do to help you and your child avoid this situation.

The first thing is to come into our office for a dental cleaning and checkup, both you and your child. This can help because our dental team will deeply clean the teeth, strengthen and nourish the smile, and treat any dental issues you have, which can help you both prevent tooth sensitivity and toothaches while you’re away.

The second thing is to receive oral surgeries about a month before your departure date; that is, if you or your child needs them. This is encouraged because it’s important to have a recovery period after your surgery. This will give you plenty of time to heal, and it will give you some wiggle room with time if you experience complications during treatment.

The third thing is to visit the orthodontist if you or your child has braces and are due for an adjustment appointment. It’s not good to delay appointments, especially because it can delay your perfect smile. So, don’t forget to visit your orthodontist.
